Salish + Brian Married

As the bridesmaids finished tying up each other dresses and sandals, Salish got ready to put on her dress and prepare to walk down the aisle towards Brian. I met Salish and Brian during their engagement shoot this past winter, and since that day I had been looking forward to their wedding. Salish is this girl with such a natural beauty about her. For her wedding, it was important to her that even though she was putting on a wedding dress(something we don't generally wear day-to-day), she still wanted to look like herself; the girl Brian fell in love with. And that was exactly what she did. She look absolutely stunning and was ready to find her groom.

As Salish walked hand in hand with her mother down the aisle, it was all Brian could do to not let his emotions run over. They exchanged rings and became husband and wife, and then it was time to celebrate!

To honor the traditions of Brian's heritage, they held a beautiful tea ceremony under the walnut tree at Salish's grandmother's home, and followed that up with a kickin' orchard reception between the cherry trees. The evening festivities started out with a surprise serenade from Brian to his bride. Even though it was hilarious (Brian is well-known to be 'quite' the singer), it was also really beautiful and touching. This was followed by a few other very entertaining stories, and also with a few thank yous that touched everyone's heart. This was a tent full of honest, heartfelt love...

Amazing culinary treats were served by Chef Heinz with baked goodies and pies by Salish's mom. It was the perfect night to celebrate such a special couple under the okanagan sky.

Congratulations S+B on your beautiful wedding day.
